Jamestown

We took a spur of the moment vacation last week and spent a wonderful few days with our VA family. While most of our trip was playing in a water park(another post on that to come) we did decide to spend a morning teaching our children some history.

Jamestown was amazing. It was so interesting to see how life would have been lived by the first English settlers in America.

Sweetie & Woof-woof playing the corncob hoop throw game. It got a bit dangerous at times when the cobs would be thrown a bit too close to a cousin.

Woof-woof in her armor. She wasn't wanting me to take pictures of her, but I think that she was really enjoying it.


We had a fun time. The next time we get down to that area I want to get to Williamsburg to see the juxtaposition from the nothingness of Jamestown to the advancements of Williamsburg. Someday....
