Family in town

The Guy's younger brother, N, just moved here to Chi town to start a PhD program in Economics(shouldn't surprise anyone).  

The Guy's mom(TGM) drove out with N.  We met them in Nauvoo.

We had a great time in Nauvoo, but I only took two pictures the whole time we were there.  Hopefully TGM will send us some.

In the blacksmith shop.  Watching him brought back many memories of watching horses get shoed while growing up.

After a few great days in Nauvoo, we all came back up to the Windy City to hang out.  On Friday we walked around our neighborhood, went out to sushi for dinner and made TGM try some(she said she doesn't need to do that again), laughed a ton, and had fun.  

On Saturday we went on an architectural boat tour.  It was really fun.  We got to learn some neat things about the city.

After the boat tour we walked down to Millenium Park.  We saw a crazy zombie parade(don't need to see that again - Sweetie was crying they were so scary), took the requisite pictures at the bean, saw the spitting fountains(too cold to play), and walked through the botanical garden(my favorite place).

Thanks for coming out TGM.  It was great having you.  Next time we won't leave on a crazy trip while you're visiting.  Thanks for being so good to us!
